Humanities in the Wild is a monthly event series held at Sunflower Outdoor and Bike Shop in downtown Lawrence, KS.
The series features humanities topics that are geared for the outdoor community such as the environment, adventure, and nature. By treating these matters in an historical, critical—but still publicly accessible—manner, Humanities in the Wild seeks not just to provide programming for the outdoor community, but to expand the boundaries of that community.
Held on Final Fridays (a local art-walk on the final Friday of each month), Humanities in the Wild
averages nearly 100 attendees per event.
